We are currently recruiting for an experienced and skilled incumbent (Executive level) to lead the group's Market Development and Sustainability portfolio. The main focus areas of the role includes the development, implementation and management of the group's new business development strategy with a focus on creating sustainable future business opportunities and revenue streams.

Education (Essential)

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field

Education (Preferred)

• MBA or Executive Development Programme

Experience

• A minimum of 10 -12 years’ experience in business development
• Proven business development track record
• Strong Strategic and business mindset
• 5 years people management experience

Responsibilities

• Prospect and evaluate new business opportunities within our industry and outside;
• Research and build relationships with new clients;
• Screen potential business deals by analyzing market strategies, deal requirements, potential, and financials; evaluating options; resolving internal priorities; recommending equity investments to the Managing Director.
• Plan approaches and pitches.
• Develop proposals that speaks to the client’s needs, concerns, and objectives, incorporating pricing agreed with the broader leadership team that drives business growth and ongoing profitability
• Close new business deals, with the assistance of top management, by coordinating requirements; developing and negotiating contracts; integrating contract requirements with business operations.
• Manages, balances, and aligns customer requirements and quality of service to ensure brand presence and strength.
• Forge relationships with key customers, suppliers, regulatory authorities to maintain a high business profile to establish Innovation Group’s as a South African market leader.
• Controls, manages and governs the processes and systems within area of accountability to ensure compliance and minimise the business risk.
• Ensure that the company complies with all legal and regulatory requirements.
• Manage a team of staff members to ensure effective delivery of business unit objectives
• Take accountability for performance for the area
• Create a culture of ownership and accountability throughout the organisation in support of our values
